I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 1998. I am a member in good standing with the British Columbia Psychological Association, Division 50 (Addictions) of the American Psychological Association and various forensic associations including the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology. My graduate training included a year at Foothills Hospital in Calgary with primary rotations in addictions and family therapy.
My training and work experience encompasses cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic and systemic theoretical orientations. Over the years I have practiced within hospital, university, government and private practice settings. I have treated clients with a wide variety of mental health concerns, and with particular specialization in the areas of addictions and sexually compulsive behaviours. In addition to my private practice I am also an instructor at the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
